Volunteer Opportunities

BounceBack Kids has many opportunities for volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please send our volunteer form to lesliem@bouncebackkids.org.

BounceBack Youth (people under 14)

Youth volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by your parent/guardian or other adult. Opportunities for youth to volunteer include assisting group basketball and attending social and recreational activities. BounceBack Kids is also open to new ideas for projects.

BounceBack Teens (teens ages 14-18)

Opportunities for teens to volunteer include assisting group basketball and attending social and recreational activities. Teens between the ages of 14-18 needing certification of required community service hours must provide all necessary forms to staff prior to the volunteer placement. The volunteer must also inform BounceBack Kids if the entity requiring community service (such as a high school, Scout troop, or house of worship) needs BounceBack Kids to be on an approved list of community partners. If you have a project you would like to propose, such as something that would qualify for a Boy or Girl Scout Merit Badge, please discuss your idea with BounceBack Kids staff. Teens may also play in the Duke-Carolina Student Basketball Marathon as long as they meet the Marathon’s requirements.

University Students

University Students may volunteer with BounceBack Kids as part of an APPLES course, as part of volunteering with the Basketball Marathon, as a Public Service Scholar, or as simply an interested individual. The requirements and opportunities vary depend on which category of University Student you are. Interested individuals must meet our general volunteer requirements.
