15 year-old Andrew, a BounceBack Kids participant, is putting together a special Eagle Scout Project, in conjunction with Raleigh’s first ever Pediatric Cancer Awareness Day (February 14, 2009). Andrew is organizing drives throughout the community to collect personal items and small gifts for his “Be Prepared Bags”, designed to help families through their first few days in the hospital. The drives will conclude at the Pediatric Cancer Awareness Day on February 14, 2009, 9:00AM—4:00PM. The Pediatric Cancer Awareness Day will be held at Leesville High School, and will include a blood drive, a bone marrow drive and platelet recruitment.
