Individual Sports Program

Basketball skills instruction and fitness training are also offered on an individual basis to provide a more personalized program. Basketball instruction is held at local gyms that are convenient for the participant and our basketball coaches. Individualized attention focuses on various basketball drills such as passing and pivoting, dribbling and shooting. Fitness training is offered at a a private health and fitness studio in Durham, Empower Fitness and sessions generally take place during the week. Individual fitness sessions include a general warm up and a series of body weight or resistance exercises. Cardiovascular and dynamic, functional movements are combined to challenge the individual. Abdominal exercises and a cool down followed by passive stretching ends each fitness session. Reservations are required.
